Practical Spiritual Psychology

We’ve all heard the terms ‘Spirit’ and ‘Soul’ from religion, society and culture at large. We all have an intuitive conceptualisation of these terms, but few of us could, if asked, explain them beyond their contextual usage.

Translation of abstract concepts into concrete reality is a beautiful thing.

‘I’m feeling Spiritual right now!’

‘Oh? What does that mean?’

‘Uhm…. it’s a feeling!’

‘Right….’

So, the following is attempting to further elucidate what these concepts, actually and practically mean:

Most fundamentally-

Spirit- Proton

Soul- Electron

Yes, Spirit and Soul are the exclusive expressions of one half of every atom in the universe.

Secondly-

Spirit- Magnetism

Soul- Electricity

When you meet someone with a ‘Magnetic’ or Charismatic personality, you’re likely meeting one who is effortlessly operating through Spirit.

You may also meet an ‘Electric’ personality with earthy ‘gravitas’, the most stereotypical archetype symbolising this would be Rockstars.

Spirit- Divine

Soul- Animal

Spirit- Eather

Soul- Earth (Matter)

Religious applications/correspondences-

Magnetism- G-d (omnipotence), Eather

Electricity- Devil

Moral applications-

Spirit- Right is Might

Soul- Might is Right

Psychological conceptual correspondences

Soul- Ego

Spirit- Super Ego

Emotional correspondences

Soul- Fear, Hate

Spirit- Love, Bliss

Intellectual correspondences

Soul- Material, worldly (contained) thinking

Spirit- Independent, transcendent, immaterial (limitless) thought

Pop culture Psychology-

Soul- Negative thinking

Spirit- Positive thinking

Temporal correspondences-

Soul- Present, past

Spirit- Past, present future and the immediate (and eternal) now

Freudian/MBTI/Socionics Correspondences

Soul (conscious)- Ego

Spirit (conscious)- Super Ego

Soul (unconscious)- Super id

Spirit (unconscious)-Id

Real world example compiling all conceptual correspondences-

Those who ‘gossip’ and ‘fall’ into addictions and vices are magnetically (like gravity) ‘falling’ into the path of least resistance.

Therefore-

The soul, when used unconsciously (bc it activates the super id) can be said to be positively and constructively used.

The spirit, when used consciously, can be said to be positively and constructively used.

Equally and oppositely,

The soul, when used consciously (bc it activates the Ego) can be said to be negatively and destructively used.

The spirit, when unconsciously used (since it activates the id), can be said to be negatively and destructively used.

Even this requires an asterisk*, since it is the Ego which is most important to develop in lifetimes since (for the vast, vast, vast majority of humanity), this is all they take between incarnations.

So, those who engage in 7 deadly sins, are very often misusing the divine power of magnetism, as well as activating the satanic (electric) aspects of the soul.
